Again, I obviously am not a parent myself, but Jackson's depiction of the uncontrolled chaos and frazzled despair of parenting is just so pitch-perfect and vividly-painted; children are little monsters, and this book is so good because you can see the warmth and love for them even as Jackson is completely, utterly perplexed and boggled and embarrassed by them.
