This research has two objectives. The first is to identify the forms of the wordplay found in the series. The second objective is to provide a brief explanation of the functions of the wordplay. The source of the data was the twenty fourth season of the famous series of The Simpsons. The data were selected only from the first episode to the sixth episode of the season. The
