Day 2 This morning we enjoy a guided tour of The Royal Factory tour of The Royal Mint Mint Experience, where we see how metal becomes coins, visitor centre observe the striking hall and even have the opportunity to Cardiff visit strike your own coin. We spend the afternoon in Cardiff Entrance to Tintern Abbey where we enjoy free time. Brecon Mountain Railway return journey Pant-Torpantau Day 3 Today we visit Tintern Abbey nestled on the banks Guided tour & tasting at Penderyn of the River Wye. We have time to explore the remarkable Distillery remains of this once jewel in the monastic crown, founded in 1131 by Cistercian Monks. After taking time for lunch we continue along the Wye Valley to the County town of Monmouth with its Castle & Military Museum. Day 4 This morning we embark on a 6 mile return vintage steam train journey on the Brecon Mountain Railway. We journey from Pant along the Taf Fechan Reservoir before climbing to Torpantau high in the Brecon Beacons. Our trip includes a 35 min stop at Pontsticill Station where there is a lakeside cafe and steam museum. We have free time for lunch back at Pant Stations Tearoom and time to visit the locomotive workshop before heading to the famous Penderyn Distillery where we enjoy a guide tour & tasting.
