(Boxes 122 - 132) SERIES III. 1) Correspondence Files, 1937-42; 1970-75: a continuation of previous correspondence and subject files documenting Tauber's activities, 1970-75 as well as some retrospective files for his early years at Temple University Library and the University of Chicago Graduate Library School. 2) Name File, 1935-1975*. Correspon- dence with and some manuscript by librarians, many of whom were former students as well as numerous professional acquaintances and friends. Included are so many prominent American librarians, it is difficult to even begin to give a sampling of names. Includes files for Lucile Morsch, Lowell Martin, Guy Lyle, Esther J* Piercy, Felix Reiehmann, Ralph Shaw, Joseph Wheeler, Carl White and Louis Round Wilson. These files are no means complete since letters from individuals in the Name File can be found the files in all three series. 3) Manuscripts: Miscellaneous manuscripts from all periods; additional typescripts for Louis Round Wilson and The University Library; Resources of Australian Libraries (1962-6^); the manuscript and related material for The .iilbrgqry Binding Manual (1972) and Moving Picture Censorship in the State of Pennsylvania.(Boxes 133-157) FOR A LIST OF THE COLLECTION SEE SEPARATE REGISTER. As in earlier series there are numerous files for Columbia University Libraries, many library surveys conducted by Tauber over the years such as the Cornell University Libraries, New York University Institute of Fine Arts Library, The Naval War College Library and others. 2) Manuscripts and Notes: Miscellaneous manuscripts and notes for all periods, There are additional typescript versions with related supporting materials for Technical Services., The University Library, Louis Round Wilson. 3) Manuscripts by Others, h) Printed Materials. Z39 Committee, Subcommittee k on Bibliographical References Files, 1958-1977: Correspondence, memoranda, reports, various drafts and version of standards, financial records, other documents and related printed materials relating to the establishment of standards for bibliographical citations. The subcommittee was disbanded in 1977 after their work culminated in published standards. M. F. Tauber chaired the subcommittee from 1966 to 1970. Among the personal correspondence files there are a number of\a ,§t>£ographical nature. The subject files are chiefly library surveys conducted by Tauber. 2) Manuscripts, Notes and Related Research Materials: In addition to typescripts for papers and conferences there are the research materials gathered for a projected edition of the "Papers of Ralph Shaw", a prominent American librarian and there is a photocopy of "Papers and Talks of Lucy Fay, 1926-1950", prepared for publi- cation by Tauber but never issued.
