BOARD OF MANAGEMENT OF THE ST MARY’S FOUNDATION 2021 BREE ROSAGRO - Chair of the Board of Management Bree is a member of the Class of 1998 and a future parent. After leaving St Mary’s, she studied Asian Studies and Commerce before completing a postgraduate degree in Law. Bree specialised in Insurance Law, acting for insurance companies in professional indemnity and public liability. Bree has been a member of the Old Girls’ Association Committee since 1999 and has served as their representative on the Board of Management since 2007. Bree was Vice Chair of the Board of Management from 2018 for 3 years. MARLENE CARTER - Vice Chair of the Board of Management Marlene is a member of the Class of 1963, attending St Mary’s in West Perth as a boarder, and is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Management, a role she held for 3 years. She has served in many voluntary roles over the years, including President of the Old Girls’ Association 1988 to1998 and Chair of the 75th Birthday Fundraising Appeal. Marlene’s working life was at the University of Western Australia and in federal politics. Marlene has been a member of the Board since 1989 and is the Chair of the Bishop Riley Bequest Society and the Foundation’s Philanthropy Committee. BRONWYN BARNES Bronwyn is a member of the Class of 1984, and has two daughters who attended St Mary’s, graduating in ’05 and ’14. She has more than 25 years’ experience in the resources sector in director, leadership and operational roles. Bronwyn is Executive Chairman of Indiana Resources Limited and a non-executive Director of Scorpion Minerals, Synergy and Perth Racing. She joined the Board in 2018. GLENN BARRETT Glenn joined the Board in 2018. His youngest daughter is in Year 10 at St Mary’s, while his eldest daughter graduated in 2017. Glenn has more than 25 years’ experience in the information technology sector in both Australia and the United Kingdom, operating across a diverse range of industries, technologies and disciplines. Glenn specialises in commercial management, contract negotiations and corporate governance, providing commercial management services for large contracts with corporate organisations and State and Federal Government agencies. YASMIN BASKERVILLE Yasmin has two daughters who attend St Mary’s Junior School and a son who attends Hale School. She is currently President of the St Mary’s Auxiliary. After graduating from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Education, Yasmin worked in the Government and Catholic education sectors. She has also undertaken additional study at Edith Cowan University and the University of London in the field of education. Yasmin was appointed to the Board of Management in 2021 as its Auxiliary representative. PAUL BUTLER Paul has specialised in financial advising and forecasting for independent schools in Perth, Sydney and the United Kingdom. He established Kilbracken Consulting Group in 2000 to assist schools with annual budgeting, long term financial forecasting/planning and ensuring financial sustainability. His previous experience includes consulting with the Department of Education Services (DES), working as a School Business Manager and teaching mathematics at senior school level. Paul’s daughter graduated from St Mary’s in 2000. ELIZABETH CARR AM Elizabeth (’81) is Chair of the Board of Governors and a member of the Foundation Board of Management. She holds a number of Board positions, including Director of icare NSW, Chair South Metropolitan TAFE (WA), Chair St Catherine’s Aged Care, Chair of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District and Vice-Chair of the Kokoda Track Foundation. She has a BA (Hons) from the University of Western Australia, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours, she was recognised “for significant service to the community through voluntary contributions to the health, aged care, education and social services sectors”. VIRGINIA CHRISTIE Virginia, a member of the Class of 1984, has more than 20 years’ experience in public policy at the Reserve Bank of Australia and The Commonwealth Treasury in Canberra. She currently serves as a non-executive Director at Keystart Home Loans Ltd, a non-executive Director at CCIWA and is a Director at GESB. She also serves on a number of external committees. Virginia joined the Board in 2018. ANDY GRIFFITHS Andy’s daughter graduated from St Mary’s in 2019. He was made an Honorary Life Member of the Parents’ Society in 2019, after serving as its Treasurer since 2014. Andy spent 15 years working for Reuters as an Internal Auditor and Finance Manager in the UK and across Asia and, for the past 14 years has worked with HBF as Group Financial Controller and now Head of Strategic Project Support. Andy joined the Board in 2018. MICHELLE HOUWEN - Director of Business Operations Michelle joined St Mary’s as the School’s Accountant when her daughter commenced Kindergarten in 1998. Michelle then moved to St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls, where she spent 11 years as Business Manager before returning to St Mary’s as Director of Finance and Administration. Michelle began her career in the Banking and Min- ing/Engineering industries before moving into Education and completing her Masters of Business Administration. She has served on numerous committees in the Education sector, including as national President of the Association of School Business Administrators and President of the AISWA Capital Grants Association. JASON STOUT - Treasurer Jason has more than 22 years’ experience in financial services, including 20 years as a financial advisor. Prior to his current role at NAB Private/JBWere, he was a Senior Financial Consultant with Perpetual Private. He is currently a Director and Senior Wealth Advisor with JBWere and specialises in providing strategic and investment advice to high net worth individuals and for-purpose/not-for-profit clients. Jason is a current parent at St Mary’s, with a daughter in Year 9. His eldest daughter graduated in 2020. LYNNE THOMSON Lynne retired as St Mary’s Principal in 2018 after serving the school for 21 years. Two of her passions are girls’ education and philanthropy. In her view, the first is the key to a lively and enlightened mind and a happy and fulfilling life. The second is a reminder that in giving, girls and young women may be endowed with life enhancing opportunities that otherwise would have remained out of reach. Lynne completed a BA (Hons) and a Diploma of Education at the University of Western Australia and a Masters of Education at Harvard University. She has served many associations related to education, including President of Anglican Schools Australia and AISWA, State representative of the Alliance of Girls’ Schools Australasia, and member of St George’s College Board and Curtin University Council. Lynne is presently Chair of the Anglican Schools Commission. JUDITH TUDBALL - Principal Judith joined St Mary’s as its 10th Principal in 2019. She previously held posts as the Principal of St Michael’s Collegiate School, Hobart and Deputy Principal (Operations) at Brisbane Girls’ Grammar School. Judith has a Bachelor of Creative Arts, a Graduate Diploma of Education, a Master of Leadership and Management in Education and a Master of Business Administration. Currently President-Elect of Anglican Schools Australia, Judith has also served on the national executive for the Alliance of Girls’ Schools Australasia and the Board of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. .
