Howard’s defense as the everyday short- stop has also been superb with a .950 fielding percentage with 124 putouts this season and has committed 17 errors in 337 total 8/1 @NH L (3-14) chances. Over the next two seasons, 8/16 @BOW W (6-3) Gardeck was sidelined with arm injuries and surgeries. Gardeck underwent three surgeries spanning 30 months of rehab time. Riggs has spent the majority of the season with 8/30 vs REA San Jose (A+) where he has pitched to a 5-5 record and a 4.08 ERA in 41 games and 64.0 innings. Riggs has not made a start since September 5, 2015 while with Salem-Keizer (SS). The 6’9” right-hander has not thrown more than 3.1 innings in 2018. Riggs also made two appearences at Sacramento (AAA) this year where he allowed three earned runs in 5.2 innings of work.
