Captains Table – A FedCon Special 10th and 11th September 2011 – Maritim Hotel, Düsseldorf, Germany The most-desired Captain from the Star Trek Universe comes to Germany. Portrayer of Captain Jean Luc Picard and one of the best Shakespeare actors, Sir Patrick Stewart, is attending a German Convention! For 15 years FedCon GmbH – organizer of FedCon, Europe's biggest Star Trek and Science Fiction Convention – has been negotiating with Patrick Stewart concerning a Convention appearance. Commitments, Almost- Commitments, a maybe, cancellations – it didn't work out until now! Finally, Patrick Stewart was able to place a weekend in his jammed schedule and confirm Captains Table! Of course it didn't work out for FedCon, but that shouldn't be an obstacle anymore – another Event – Captains Table, A FedCon Special, was created to which in addition to Sir Patrick Stewart his son Daniel Stewart (known from one of the best and most popular Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes „The Inner Light“) and Kate Mulgew, another Captain from the Star Trek Universe have confirmed their attendance. Kate Mulgrew is best known to her amazing performance as Capatin Kathryn Janeway in the fourth Star Trek series Voyager. Star Trek: Voyager has a huge fan community in Germany and those fans are sure to find their way to Düsseldorf in order to meet „their Captain Janeway“. Late-breaking, with Avery Brooks a third Captain from the Star Trek Universe has confirmed his appearance at Captains Table. Brooks is well known and popular to the fans due to his fantastic and incomparable performance as Captain Benjamin Sisko in the third Star Trek series Deep Space Nine. Captains Table was especially designed and organized for Patrick Stewart, because his theater commitments only allow him to visit Germany and meet his fans on this weekend - 10th and 11th of September 2011. The date was confirmed recently by Patrick Stewart himself in a talk which took place in England. Captains Table will be a FedCon Special, and as the name suggest, an Event with two Captains from the Stark Trek Universe, a managable amount of visitors and events. Captains Table will be a comfortable but still fascinating event without stress or hectiness for everyone. The Captains will do Q&A-Sessions and answer the questions asked by their fans, tell about their lives and work and just entertain the audience. In addition to that, there will be photo-sessions and autograph-sessions. Each visitor will be able to get their autographs live and in person and have their photo taken by a professional photographer in the popular photo-sessions. At Captains Table, the famous Convention-Parties will also be held. They will take place on Friday and Saturday Evening. DJ Rick, known due to over 2500 appearances, including Rock im Park in Nürnberg is sure to make the visitors dance and have a good time!
