The subject site is located within the Fitzgibbon Priority Development Area (PDA). A PDA is identified by the State as an area prioritised for land development. In a PDA, development applications are assessed and decided under the Economic Development Act 2012 (ED Act), with Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) as the Assessment Manager. The Fitzgibbon Urban Development Area Development Scheme (Development Scheme) is the regulatory document which assists with planning, carrying out, promoting, coordinating and controlling land development within the PDA.
