Policy and Protocols This overarching Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is mainly determined by National Policy and local Protocols and procedures. It is written to ensure consistency and compliance across all Schools within the Trust. Each school within the Trust will build on this overarching policy to ensure adherence to National and Local Policy and needs. Each individual Trust School is responsible for ensuring adherence to National and Local Policy and to act in the interests of all children and young people. It is their responsibility to safeguard and promote the well-being of children. Each individual Trust School is responsible for ensuring compliance with its Local Children and Young People Safeguarding Partnership procedures and policies and for publishing its own safeguarding policy in accordance with statutory requirements. Local Authorities have overarching statutory responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people living in their area. COVID -19 - Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) remains in force throughout the response to coronavirus (COVID-19).
