Additional Support Needs Submissions Pack Treatment of evidence The Committee issued a brief call for views running for just over two weeks to inform the roundtable. It has received a large number of responses, including lots of accounts from parents of children and young people with additional support needs. Parents and teachers continue to send in their accounts and any that were not ready for issue in this submissions pack will be issued to members in a further pack for the session with the Cabinet Secretary on 8th March. As these submissions are sensitive in nature they have been anonymised wherever requested and the names of children have been removed, as have references that may lead to individuals working in schools or local authorities being identified. All those submitting were sent a message to make clear that their submissions would be published unless they stated otherwise. However, where there is particularly sensitive information in a submission, the clerks have marked the submission as anonymous in this pack and are seeking active agreement from the parent to publish. Therefore some of the anonymous submissions are anonymous pending this permission being received. The deadline for submissions for this meeting was 21st February.
