This session is Steve Stacey, The Local Community Food Centre geared toward food skills coordinators and anyone with an interest in transformative food programming. Geared towards anyone who writes (or helps write) funding proposals, including managers, fundraisers, and program staff, this presentation will cover best practices for getting small and large grants from institutions like foundations, government, and businesses. We’ll discuss how to build relationships with funders, how and when to involve multiple staff members in the writing process, how to identify prospective funders, and how to research VOLUNTEERS IN COMMUNITY FOOD ORGANIZATIONS: and write compelling proposals.
