MacKiernan, Bishop of Kilmore from 1972 until 1998 donated his entire book collection to Cavan County Council’s Library Service for the benefit of the community he loved. His library consists of 1,179 items: • 49 journals • 434 Religious books • 520 Irish and General history books • 176 Local Studies items.
