As the economies started entering lockdown, this figure was revised to -3% in April 20. With the effects of COVID-19 not waning easily, and economic recovery not in sight, the growth projection was further pulled down -4.9% in the June 20 WEO. Q1 2020-21 data on GDP shows a contraction of 23.9%. Further, the domestic markets are also looking up quite positively now. SAIL has again led the market by notching up its best ever performance for the months of June, July and August.
