On the basis ot information furnished by the registrant. the above named pesticide is hereby registered/reregistered ~der the Federal Ins~cticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act. Registration is in no way to be construed as ~ endorsement or recommendation of this product by the Agency.~ In order to protect health and the environment, the Administrator, on his motion, may at any time suspend or cancel the registration of a pesticide in accordance with the Act. The acceptance of any name in connection with the registration of a product under this Act is not to be construed as giving the registrant a right to exclusive use of the name or to its use if it has been covered by others. This product is conditionally registered in accordance with FIFRA sec. 3(c) (7) (A) provided that you: 1. Submit and/or cite all data required for registration/ reregistration of your product under FIFRA sec. 3(c) (5) when the Agency requires all registrants of similar products to submit such data; and submit acceptable responses required for reregistration of your product under FIFRA section 4. 2. Make the following label changes listed below before you release the product for shipment: a. Add the phrase, "EPA Reg. No. 241-402". b. When labels are printed assure that the Signal Word DANGER - PELIGRO and Keep Out Of The Reach Of Children meet the type size required by 40 CFR 156.10 (h) (1) (iv) . c. The phrases "noncrop weed control" and "noncrop sites" in the Agricultural Use Requirements box and "terrestrial noncrop sites" in the General Information section are too broad. Specify exactly what noncrop sites this product is intended to be applied. d. Under the heading "IMPORTANT" include the restriction about not applying directly to water where surface water is present from the Environmental Hazards section. If these conditions are not complied with, the registration will be subject to cancellation in accordance with FIFRA section 6 (e). Harmful if absorbed through skin. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Applicators and other handlers must wear: • long-sleeved shirt and long pants • waterproof gloves • shoes plus socks ... Follow manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry. USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS Users should: I. Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. 2. Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS For terrestrial uses, DO NOT apply directly to water or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. DO NOT contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters. This herbicide is phytotoxic at extremely low concentrations. Nontarget plants may be adversely affected from drift. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL HAZARDS Spray solutions of HABITAT Release 75S0 herbicide should be mixed, stored, and appiied 'mly in stainless steel, fiberglass, plastic, and plastic-lined steel containers. DO NOT mix, store, or apply HABITAT Release 75S0 herbicide or &pay solLitiullS of HABITAT Release 75S0 herbicide in unlined steel (except stainless steel) containers or spray tanks. 2 3/99 DIRECTIONS FOR USE It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the area during application. For any requirements specific to your State or Tribe, consult the agency responsible for pesticide regulation. HABITAT Release 75SG herbicide should be used only in accordance with recommendations on the leaflet label. Keep containers closed to avoid spills and contamination. HABITAT Release 75SG herbicide may be applied using ground operated sprayers such as all terrain vehicles, low;;volume hand-operated spray equipment such as back-pack and pump-up sprayers, and tree injection equipment. Observe all cautions and limitations in the package labels of products used in combination with HABITAT Release 75SG herbicide. AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTS Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR part 170. This Standard contains requirements for the protection of agricultural workers on fanns, forests, nurseries, and greenhouses, and handlers of agricultural pesticides. It contains requirements for training, decontamination, notification, and emergency assistance. It also contains specific instructions and exceptions pertaining to the statements on this label about personal protective equipment (PPE) and restricted entry interval. The requirements in this box only apply to uses ofthis product that are covered by the Worker Protection Standard. Do not enter or allow worker entry into treated areas during the restricted entry interval (REI) of 12 hours. PPE required for early entry to treated areas that is permitted under the Worker Protection Standard and that involves contact with anything that has been treated, such as plants, soil, or water, is: • coveralls • waterproof gloves • shoes plus socks 3 3/99 NON-AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTS The requirements in this box apply to uses of this product that are NOT within the scope of the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides (40 CFR Part 170). The WPS applies when this product is used to produce agricultural plants on farms, forests, nurseries, or greenhouses. Noncrop weed control is not within the scope of the Worker Protection Standard. GENERAL INFORMATION section of this label for a description of non crop sites. Do not enter treated areas without protective clothing until sprays have dried. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL PROHIBITIONS: DO NOT store below 100F. DO NOT contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility. CO NT AINER DISPOSAL: DO NOT reuse outer packaging. Dispose of outer packaging in a sanitary landfill, or by incineration, or if allowed by state and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay out of smoke.
