Kapanadze Alice Savadyan PROJECT NAME AND SITE DESCRIPTION Description of the Project The main purpose of the sub-project is the improvement of pastures watering network in Shinuhayr community providing sufficient water supply for 1227 bovine cattle and 1012 small cattle directly in the pasture. The following construction activities will be implemented under the proposed sub-project: Installation of 180 m length (Ф 50x3.7mm) waterway, Construction of one metallic 24 m length troughs- semi- pipes installed on concrete - cobblestone platform Construction of 1071 m2 cote Construction of herdsman shelter . The design for pastures watering network has been developed by the HAYJRNAKHAGITS LLC design company under the contract concluded with Agricultural Project Implementation Unit. Project implementation area, community Republic of Armenia, Syunik marz, Shinuhayr community Project site location Project implementation area is located at a distance of 257 km from Yerevan city and 25 km from Shinuhayr community of Goris region, Syunik Marz. The new waterway will be connected to the Mukhutaryan- Goris watermain for which Shinuhayr community obtained water use permits from RA MoNP. Land ownership Land required for the project implementation belongs to community. Description of geographic, physical, The sub-project site is located in Syunik marz, in biological, geological, hydrographic and Shinuhayr community area. Shinuhayr is located on 2158 socio-economic context m, above sea level. Climatic conditions of the Armenian south part possesses is mild mountainous. The winter is cold, snowy, temperature on winter about 16-20 C. The summer is warm, few clouds, comparatively humid weather. Locations and distance for material Water for construction works will be provided by water sourcing, especially aggregates, water, cistern track. Aggregates and machinery will be obtained stones from the licensed providers within the project area. Contractor may choose to extract equipment himself, in which case contractor must obtain an extraction license prior to commencement of extraction. Metallic and PE pipes as well as all fittings will be purchased from an official supplier.
