Motorists should drive with caution through the work zones and adhere to posted detour signs and speed limits. Please pay special attention to the closures noted in red. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise is resurfacing the existing asphalt roadway for Florida’s Turnpike/SR 821 from S. Dixie Highway/US 1 to Biscayne Drive/SW 288 Street (Exit 5) and Florida’s Turnpike ramps from Biscayne Drive (Exit 5) to SW 112 Avenue/SR 989 (Exit 9), in Miami-Dade County. Work includes installing new guardrail, sign replacements, joint repairs, and lighting enhancements. Construction will continue through 2021. Approximate cost: $9 million.
