File formats typically acceptable to serve as drawings for Machining jobs When cutouts are requested, the format must be in one of the methods below; 1.) An engineering drawing of the cutouts with approximate size of cutout(s) & the side of the enclosure that is being machined is required. See acceptable file formats of electronic files below. 2.) A sketch of the cutouts on an enclosure. Approximate size of the cutout(s) are required & the side of the enclosure that is being machined is required. Exact locations of cutouts aren't required for quoting purposes. The pdf files from our web site are good drawings to skecth cutouts on. 3.) A detailed verbal or written description including the enclosure p/n, approx. size & shape of cutout(s) and the side of the enclosure that is being machined is required. 4.) A PCB sample, any connectors that would fit through the cutouts & any hardware required to mount the PCB as well as the enlcosure p/n that the PCB should fit into. We have PCB screws if the PCB is being mounted to the PCB bosses. ~ When cutouts are not fully defined, a detailed drawing is required at the time of order.
