Theater de Lys O. HENRY'S STEAK HOUSE at West 4th St. and Sixth Ave. in Greenwich Village is one of New York's most unusual restaurants. The owner, Mr. Vito Di Lucia, con- verted it from a butcher shop, retaining many of the features originally found there: chopping blocks (cocktail tables), meat hooks (for coats and beer mugs), two walk-in refrigerator spaces (dining rooms). The sawdust on the floor, an 1890 solid mahogany bar, gas burning light fixtures (originally Baltimore street lamps), waiters in straw hats and white butcher coats, set a charming scene for a charcoaled-cooked dinner.
