Home contests in BOLD All times Central and subject to change 19 NCAA Tournament Appearances, Four SEC Tournament Titles, 1993 Final Four 1 2006-07 SEASON VANDERBILT WOMEN’S BASKETBALL VANDERBILT HEAD COACH MELANIE BALCOMB Balcomb enters the 2006-07 season looking for her fifth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament with the Commodores. In 13-plus seasons as a head coach, Balcomb has compiled 270 career wins in 413 games for a .654 win- ning percentage. Seven Balcomb teams have advanced to postseason play, including an NCAA Elite 8 trip with Xavier and a pair of journeys to the Sweet 16 with the Commodores. Now in her fifth season in Nashville, Balcomb has compiled a 107-39 record at Vanderbilt, including a SEC Tournament Championship in only her second season. She has coached 12 players who have received All-Conference accolades and six of her players have been drafted by the WNBA -- includ- ing VU great Chantelle Anderson, who went as the second overall pick to the Sacramento Monarchs in the 2003 draft.
