They can choose from a number of destinations (UNIGE has agreements with institutions such as UCLA, Boston University, Uni- versity of Sydney, University of Montreal, and mem- bers of the League of European Research Universities). The length of stay varies from one to two semesters depending on the faculty/institute and the study plan. Credits earned at the destination university are trans- ferred and counted as equivalent to UNIGE course- work, in accordance with the pre-established study agreement. Taught in Eng- lish by faculty from UNIGE and international partner institutions, the high quality academic courses provide a global perspective on issues in the social sciences, the humanities, the sciences, and interdisciplinary fields. Students can also take French language classes at the university.
