Introduction to LiveCode A Workshop for Teachers The National STEM Centre Siwards Way University of York YO10 5DD 26 June 2013 16:30 – 18:30 LiveCode is an easy to use yet sophisticated cross platform software development tool. It is well suited for teaching programming to 14 to 18 year olds, with a proven track record of quick adoption by students and it also appeals to a broader age group. The high level natural LiveCode language makes it easy to learn to code (covering all principles programming) and the graphical tool palette makes it fun to layout apps. The powerful cross platform engine makes it straight forward to deploy apps, games and e-books quickly from a single code base onto popular devices such as Mac, Linux, Windows, Android and IOS (iPad, iPhone etc).
