The all-new 2020 S6 delivers everything customers expect from a true luxury sports sedan. With innovative technologies, a new twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine, as well as S-model interior and exterior design elements, the S6 is an ideal performance model for the long haul. Powertrain and Performance • The 2020 A6 offers a 2.0-liter TFSI® four-cylinder engine option that produces 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, or a 3.0-liter TFSI® V6 engine capable of 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology remains standard with a compact 12 or 48-volt system under the rear cargo floor. • The S6 features a new 2.9-liter TFSI® V6 engine, developed specifically to produce a wider range of torque when combined with an electric compressor powered by the 48V MHEV system. Using this set up, the S6 is able to achieve 444 horsepower, 443 lb-ft of torque and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.1 • With a response time of under 250 milliseconds, and a maximum speed of 70,000 rpm, the first-ever electric power compressor offered by Audi in the U.S. pre-empts turbo lag, enabling immediate responsiveness and powerful acceleration in almost any driving situation. • New for 2020, the S6 is standard equipped with an eight-speed Tiptronic® automatic transmission that is well-suited for the low-end torque of the V6 engine, making it possible for the engine to consistently run near its ideal engine speed. • The available quattro® sport differential offers a more dynamic driving experience and enhances cornering agility by actively splitting torque between each of the rear wheels, with the ability to direct nearly all torque to one wheel. • The available S Sport package adds dynamic all-wheel steering, which can provide increased handling and stability at all speeds, sport exhaust, and red brake calipers. • An available sport suspension with adaptive dampers can be combined with the S Sport package, and is the most dynamic iteration of the S6, enabling the driver to choose between a sporty or comfortable ride depending on the drive select setting. Design • Large surfaces, sculpted edges and striking lines convey the character of high tech and sophistication in the A6. From the side, three distinctive lines reduce the visual height of the A6 while pronounced wheel arches emphasize the vehicle’s quattro DNA. • The exterior of the S6 is differentiated by sporty design elements including S-model bumpers, platinum double-slat Singleframe® grille and aluminum exterior side mirrors. The alu-optic front splitter creates a feeling of width at the front of the vehicle, connecting the two lower air inlets. At the rear, the S6 features four S-specific tailpipes and a rear diffuser inlay in black chrome matte. • On the interior, the S6 features a heated, 3-spoke multifunction heated steering wheel with S emblem, Valcona leather S sport seats with diamond stitch and stainless steel doorsills with an illuminated S logo. • The A6 is standard equipped with LED headlights with taillights and dynamic rear turn signals, while the S6 is fitted with Matrix-design headlights. HD Matrix- design headlights are also available. Latest Updates • After an all-new model last year, the 2020 A6 brings additional technology and driver assistance features, as well as adjusted package offerings. Lane departure warning, heated, auto-dimming and power folding exterior side mirrors, and high beam assist are standard equipped.2 • The Premium Plus trim adds Audi virtual cockpit plus and a heated steering wheel. The Prestige trim receives a standard driver assistance package that includes adaptive cruise assist, traffic sign recognition, active lane assist with Emergency assist, intersection assist, and heated rear seats.2 • On the Premium Plus trim, the newly available Executive package includes 4-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, power trunk open and close, and multicolor ambient interior lighting. Black optic exterior trim is now available on Premium Plus and Prestige trims for the A6 45 TFSI.
