The GAO gained official status in Player Development Coordinator November, 2001. Mallory Dayman The OGA and the OLGA represented Ontario Golfers for over 75 years. As such, the GAO inherits a long ext. 237 – [email protected] and rich history. With over 420 member clubs and over 115,000 individual members, the GAO is one of the Director of Handicapping & Course Rating largest golf associations the world. Craig Loughry As the governing body of amateur golf in Ontario, the GAO has an affiliation with the Royal Canadian ext. 230 – [email protected] Golf Association. The RCGA serve a national mandate. The GAO plays an important role supporting Course Rating Manager and promoting many aspects of the game, including a provision of services to member clubs and to Marcus Strom individual members as well as contributing to the “Good of the Game.” ext. 231 – [email protected] The GAO is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by Volunteer Committees and Club Representatives throughout the province. The strength of the GAO lies in its broad range of membership support through Ontario. Gerry Kesselring, along with the late Lloyd Tucker and Lex Robson were honoured in a memorable ceremony that high- lighted the achievements of the new members while celebrating their contributions to golf in Ontario. We are very proud of these Ontario golfers and their accomplishments.
