Parlour Barn Planted in 2008-09, Parlour Barn Woodland is located in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, approximately 1 mile north of Thornthwaite. This site of new broadleaved woodland covers 7.4 hectares and is planted with approximately 7,125 native broadleaf trees and shrubs. Species include a mix of Ash, Oak, Birch, Rowan, Alder, Willow, Hawthorn, Holly Image: Parlour Barn Woodland and Blackthorn, complimenting the existing woodland cover in the local area. The trees have been individually protected with tree guards to prevent rabbit damage. From A59 Eastbound (Skipton – Harrogate). At Fewston Reservoir (just after the church on your right) turn left onto Hardisty Hill, signposted Pateley Bridge. Continue past the Stone House Inn, and after approximately 1 mile turn right onto Braithwaite Lane and continue to the T junction. The track leading to the woodland is directly opposite, signposted Parlour Barn Kennels and Cattery. From Greenhow. Access: Opposite the church turn onto Duck Street A footpath runs through the site at Lane, signposted Blubberhouses/Harrogate. Grid Ref: SE160 605, near Foldshaw Continue for 3miles. Turn left onto Lane, making this wood accessible at Braithwaite Lane, continue to T-junction. all times. Take the track opposite signposted Parlour Perimeter access is also available Barn Kennels and Cattery. along public rights of way.
