Hingham Boys Hockey Division 1 State Champs Sponsored by A Special Supplement to Hingham’s Hometown Newspaper since 1827 Page 2 • Hingham Boys Hockey Division 1 State Champs • 2015 Coach’sCoach’s ForewordForeword he rich tradition of Harbormen Hockey has been shaped over the course of the past 80 years by the many skilled and talented ath- Tletes who have worn the red and white. As coaches, we are just caretakers of this program and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with so many great players and quality people over the years. In addition, the passion and support extended to our program by the school administration, players families, alumni and the Hingham community is second to none year after year… as evidenced by the throng of Hingham fans at each tournament game and most especially this year’s state cham- pionship game at TD Garden. Thank You. This year’s group of players, Team 80, set out to make Harbormen Na- tion proud by establishing a relentless work ethic utilizing a high level of skill and teamwork which has been characterized in many of the success- ful teams before them. Along the way, they developed an uncommon re- siliency, determination and team bond that inspired their efforts into an unbelievable ride and a Division 1 State championship. -Coach Tony Messina PATRIOT LEDGER PHOTO/ CRAIG GOEDECKE On the cover: Harbormen win State title one year after missing tournament for first time in 30-plus years.
