STROUD CURLING CLUB Spring 2017 www.stroudcurling.com March 2017 IN THIS ISSUE President’s Message It’s hard to believe that the 16 – 17 curling season is winding down. Curling certainly helps pass the winter. It has been a winter to forget! Get Your Meat for BBQ Season from North Country I am pleased to report that club finances are healthier than they have been Meat Fundraiser in a while, thanks to a spike in membership. We had added membership from the “Learn to Curl” league. Kudos to the coaches who gave Come Make a Bid at the volunteer hours to provide the training. We added junior members Silent Auction through hosting the high school curling. Thanks to Carolyn Alksnis for promoting this. Tournament of Champions Saturday March 25th The club has been well represented at provincial competitions with teams in the provincial finals at The Ontario Tankard, OCA Intermediates and Donations Needed for The Fairfield Marriott Challenge.
