He has written extensively for ballet and dance and is well known as a pianist, working with many companies including Northern Ballet, BirminGham Royal Ballet, Rambert, Carlos Acosta, Adventures in Motion Pictures and the Martha Graham Company. As a composer, he has collaborated with choreographers including Christopher Gable, David Nixon, Michael Pink, Didy Veldman, Michael KeeGan-Dolan, Derek Williams, Adam Cooper, Sara Matthews and hip-hop artist Jonzi D. His music has been performed by companies as diverse as English National Ballet, Boston Ballet, Rambert, CullberG Ballet, Scottish Dance Theatre, Bern Ballett, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet and Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre, for which he wrote scores for the company’s critically acclaimed Giselle (2003) and award-winninG The Bull (2005). Feeney’s association with Northern Ballet in Leeds, England extends more than 25 years. He has written eiGht full-lenGth scores for the company includinG Cinderella (Gable, 1993); Dracula (Gable/Pink, 1996); The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Gable/Pink, 1998); A Streetcar Named Desire (Veldman, 2001); Hamlet (Nixon, 2008); Cinderella (Nixon, 2013); Jane Eyre (Marston, 2016) and Victoria (Marston, 2019).
