De Muniz, The school year 2011-2012 was truly one of the most remarkable in Oregon Supreme Court our school’s young history. We made great progress on the goals of our five-year plan, broke ground on a new 10,600 sq. ft. addition, Larry Epping, Larry Epping Building Company celebrated the amazing success of our very talented class of 2012, and Gerry Frank, President, so much more. Under the outstanding leadership of Music Director Kami Hettwer, the band and choir programs have seen a marked increase in participation 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 and overall quality. In additon Labor Day First Day of Cav Pride Day to band, guitar ensemble and School ~ Half Day & Mass choir classes, Mrs. Hettwer has provided many wonderful opportunities for her music students to share their talents including participation in pep 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 band, musical workshops and festivals. The high school drama program welcomed two talented guest directors for the 2011-12 season. Dave Berrier directed the fall production of The Scarlet Letter and Gabrielle Brewer-Wallin 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 directed the spring musical Back to School Half Day Auction Night ~ Donations Due Quilters. Both plays showcased 6:00 p.m. the wonderful theatrical and musical talents of our students. Kasey Roberts brought her expertise and guidance to the mid high program for the year 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 with the production of two Service Day Mass Homecoming delightful plays, School House BBQ ~ 6:00 p.m. Rock and Seussical. Blanchet has been well represented in Salem’s World Beat Festival Art Contest for many years in a row. This year was no exception. Blanchet’s high school art program won the Honorable Mention award for high school art classroom and the mid high art program won 1st Place for their classroom entry in the K-8 category. Individually, Megumi Kim (grade 11) and Ryan Orlandini (grade 10) both received Honorable Mention Concept Design, and Katie Pittioni (grade 10) was honored with the Award of Excellence. Her students feel that she connects with them individually and is able to steer them in the 28 29 30 31 direction of their interests.” Halloween In addition to her 28 years as Freshman an educator, Mrs. Heintzman Retreat has dedicated countless hours outside of the classroom to community projects including directing the Eco-Earth project in Salem’s Riverfront Park.
