Cork AUL Records Originally compiled by Billy Lyons and updated by Barry Peelo Murphy Cup The Murphy Cup was first competed for in the 1952/53 season and Glasheen and Tower Rovers were the first finalist with Glasheen becoming the first club to annex the trophy. The early years of the competition were dominated by Glasheen and Rockmount with both of them winning on four occasions in the first 11 seasons.
