Warns II Grand Commander Grand Commandery of Maryland Order #6 To: All Commanders and Recorders Constituent Commanderies of Maryland Ref: Order #6 Sir Knights, Recently Grand Master Nelson, of the Grand Encampment of the United States of America issued Order #14 titled “Re-opening 2021”regarding modifying the restrictions of Order#12 on conclaves and the conferrals of Orders throughout Templary. I am currently reviewing that order and in conjunction with the rest of the Grand Line officers of the Grand Commandery of Maryland will be producing instructions on how Maryland will proceed. The order specifically makes the Grand Commander responsible for the implementation of the guidelines in that order. Order #14 specifically states quote: “All Grand Commanders and subordinate Commanders understand that they will be held responsible by the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar for ensuring that their Constituent and/or Subordinate Commandery is following All federal, state, and local health laws, policies, and guidelines at All times” end quote. Because Grand Master Nelson has titled his order “Reopening 2021”, I will interpret this to mean that any such reopening should take place in 2021. In addition, yesterday Maryland went back to Phase 2, tighten the restrictions on gatherings, further escalating the need for caution. Therefore it is my Order #6 that all Commanderies refrain from implementing any part or all parts of Order #14 until guidelines are written by your Grand Commandery and until those guidelines have been officially transmitted to you by Grand Recorder Brown Attest: Attest: Charles E.
