
Cheat Sheet What is it? A Chromebook is a laptop running Chrome OS as its operating system. The devices are primarily uses the Google Chrome browser, with most applications and data residing in the cloud rather than on the machine itself. Managing Files You can save files directly onto a Chrome or your Google Drive by clicking Files from the Chrome OS Apps menu. The file manager opens in a new window and you will see Downloads and Google Drive. You can right click anywhere (Click Touchpad with 2 fingers) inside the Downloads drive to create new folders. It works similar to folders on a PC. There is limited space so we encourage student to save files to their Google Drive which is cloud-based and has unlimited space.
