The match will be streamed online at ESPN3.com. Friday’s start time may Sept. 1 UMBC W, 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-20) be delayed if the 11 a.m. match - No. 4 Kentucky vs. No. 13 BYU - goes long. The winners of Friday’s matches Sept. 1 Oral Roberts W, 3-0 (25-8, 25-16, 25-10) will meet in Saturday’s regional final at 3 p.m. (CT). That match will be televised on ESPNU and streamed on ESPN3.com. Sept. 2 Saint Mary’s W, 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, 25-18) The Big Ten champion Huskers are making their 23rd regional appearance in the last 24 years and are aiming Sept. 8 #11 UCLA W, 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-20) for a third straight final four appearance, which would be a first in program history. Nebraska is no stranger to Sept. 9 #11 UCLA W, 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-17) Lexington, as the Huskers won an NCAA Regional there in 2015 to advance to the final four, where the Huskers ultimately won the national title in Omaha. In that regional - which Kentucky was not part of - NU swept BYU in the regional semifinal and beat Washington 3-1 in the final. Omaha Challenge (Omaha, Neb. - Baxter Arena) Sept. 15 vs. Kansas State W, 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 25-16) The Husker matches this weekend will be on Husker Sports Network radio affiliates, including 107.3 FM in Lincoln and AM 590 in Omaha. Big Ten Schedule About the Huskers • The Huskers, ranked fifth in the AVCA Coaches Poll and seeded fifth in the NCAA Tournament, enter the week Sept. 22 at #2 Penn State* W, 3-0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-20) at 28-4 overall and are riding a 15-match win streak, their longest of the season. Sept. 23 at Rutgers* W, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-11) • The Huskers were co-Big Ten Champions with Penn State, as both teams finished 19-1. Nebraska beat Penn Sept. 29 #3 Minnesota* W, 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-13) State in the only match-up between the teams this season and earned the Big Ten’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Since joining the conference in 2011, the Huskers have now claimed three Big Ten titles (2011, Sept. 30 #7 Wisconsin* W, 3-2 (22-25, 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, 15-8) 2016 and 2017). Oct. 4 #14 Michigan State* W, 3-1 (25-19, 25-15, 22-25, 25-19) • Nebraska dropped just 11 sets in Big Ten play this season, its fewest since joining the conference in 2011. The Huskers Oct. 14 at #16 Purdue* W, 3-1 (25-16, 22-25, 25-14, 25-18) have won a nation-leading 30 straight matches at home. Oct. 20 Northwestern* W, 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-12) • The Huskers are making their 33rd regional appearance in their 36th all-time NCAA Tournament appearance. Oct. 21 Illinois* W, 3-1 (25-19, 24-26, 25-20, 25-17) Only Stanford equals that nation-leading mark. • Nebraska ranks second in NCAA Division I history in all-time NCAA Tournament wins (104), trailing only Oct. 27 at #10 Michigan State* W, 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 25-17, 25-14) Stanford (117). Oct. 29 at Michigan* W, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-13) • Nebraska has been to the NCAA Semifinals each of the past two years, winning the NCAA Championship in Nov. 3 #22 Purdue* W, 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 26-24, 25-23) 2015 and falling in the semifinals in 2016. Nov. 12 Rutgers* W, 3-0 (25-8, 25-11, 25-13) • The Huskers allowed a total of 80 points combined in the two matches, which was the fewest points allowed Nov. 17 at Ohio State* W, 3-1 (25-23, 25-12, 22-25, 25-23) by any team in the NCAA Tournament in the first weekend. Stanford allowed 81, while Colorado and BYU allowed 101 and 104, respectively. Colorado and BYU are in the Huskers’ regional this weekend. Nov. 18 at Maryland* W, 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-13) • Of the six teams that didn’t lose a set in the NCAA Tournament in the first two rounds, three (Nebraska, Nov. 22 at Northwestern* W, 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-21) Colorado, BYU) are in the Lexington Regional. Nov. 25 Iowa* W, 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-23) • Nebraska has not allowed an NCAA Tournament foe to reach 20 points in a set. Only Stanford has held its opponents under 20 in every set. • Nebraska ranks sixth in the nation in opponent hitting percentage (.149). The Huskers are 14th in hitting NCAA Tournament percentage (.285). Dec. 1 Stony Brook W, 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-12) • Nebraska ranks 22nd nationally in kills per set (14.22). Dec. 2 Washington State W, 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-18) • Kelly Hunter, the Big Ten Setter of the Year and AVCA North Region Player of the Year, is putting up 10.79 assists per set and 2.62 digs per set. The only NCAA Division I setter who has set her team to both a national and Dec. 8 vs. Colorado 1 p.m. (CT) ESPN3.com^ conference championship (twice), Hunter ranks third in school history with 3,960 career assists at NU. Albrecht has 135 career service aces, which ranks sixth in NU career history. Albrecht was also named to the All-Big Ten team.
