But none as strange as the story of a young boy named mowgli. It all began when the silence of the jungle was broken by an unfamiliar sound. It was a sound never heard before in this part of the jungle. (baby cry) Bagheera reacts to a small basket (with baby inside) Jungle Creature: It was a mancub! Had he known how deeply I was to be involved, Bagheera would have obeyed his first impulse and walked away! Bagheera: This mancub would have to have nourishment and without a mothers’ care, soon he would perish. And then it occurred to me. A family of wolves I knew had been blessed with a litter of cubs. (baby cry). Wolves appear. Jungle Creature: Over time Bagheera would often stop by to see how the mancub was getting along. He was the favourite of all the wolf cubs in the pack. And then, one night, the wolfpack elders met at council rock because a fierce tiger, Shere Khan, had returned to the jungle and they feared for the boys safety. [INSERT: WOLVES script] Bagheera (to audience): Even the strength of the pack, was no match for the Tiger. It was at that moment that I decided to take Mowgli to a nearby man village where I knew he would be safe. And that my friends, is how our journey into Jungle Book begins… [SONG: Prologue] Top 2 WOLVES I NSERT - Dialogue during track: Trust In Me (Instrumental) BAGHEERA: One night, the wolf pack elders met at Council Rock.
