MEDIA RELEASE 2020 LUCKNOW, ON. FEBRUARY, 2020 / CNW Celebrating its 12 Year Anniversary, The Lucknow and District Kinsmen have released the lineup for Lucknow’s Music in the Fields 2020. The three day music festival includes performances on multiple stages, camping, games, daytime events and food & craft beverage vendors. The event takes place August 27-29 at Graceland Festival Grounds in Lucknow, Ontario. 100% of all profits are donated to charity. The artist lineup this year features international country star—Brantley Gilbert, multiple Juno Award Winners: The Sheepdogs, with Eli Young Band, Hunter Brothers, Lindsay Ell, Canadian alternative rock icons—5440, Mackenzie Porter, award-winning, female country band, Nice Horse, plus many more emerging artists. ABOUT MUSIC IN THE FIELDS Music in the Fields is a charitable event run by members of the Lucknow Kinsmen and driven by community volunteers, with support from local radio and corporate sponsors. Launching in 2009, the festival attracts about 8000 patrons annually with the efforts of 600 volunteers. Support from radio partners and our social media team help promote artist Meet & Greets & Weekend Pass Tickets. In addition to the “pick your own camping spot” feature introduced in 2018, this year brings the addition of an extra camping spots to a total of almost 1600, with family camping area now available. Water fill and waste services have also been added for patrons’ convenience. “Our straight-ahead approach to bringing you the best authentic, summer music festival experience is based in our philosophy for giving back. Our hearts are in it to make a difference in supporting Cystic Fibrosis and local community charities in need. Since the event’s inception, we've happily contributed over $1.3 Million dollars—all profits from our festival to support those in need.” PAST ARTISTS Past artists who performed at the festival include: Blake Shelton, Billy Currington, Jake Owen, Tim Hicks, James Barker Band, Lee Brice, Lonestar, Travis Tritt, Terri Clark, Big & Rich, Blue Rodeo, Kim Mitchell, Dean Brody, Dierks Bentley, Doc Walker, Tom Cochrane with Red Rider, The Band Perry, Paul Brandt, Johnny Reid, The Road Hammers, The Washboard Union, Cold Creek County, River Town Saints, and many more.
