I appreciate you bringing the petitioners' concerns to my attention. The NSW Government sought expressions of interest to enhance the public use and presentation of nine existing buildings and locations within Sydney Harbour National Park. The National Parks and Wildlife Service received a proposal from Gap Bluff Hospitality for the adaptive reuse of six properties at the Gap Bluff Centre, Camp Cove and Green Point. The proposal aims to renew some of Sydney's heritage assets and increase opportunities for visitors to the area. Community input on the future of these sites is a key part of the planning process. Public exhibition of the proposal closed on 10 November 2015. The Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) will consider public comments in assessing the proposal and make recommendations to me. OEH will provide updates on the process as it progresses, including answers to questions raised by the community.
