Pascack Valley High School serves the northern Bergen County communities of Hillsdale and River Vale, New Jersey. The towns are neighboring suburban communities with a combined population of approximately 20,000. The location, 20 miles northwest of New York City, enables residents to take advantage of the many cultural and educational resources of a large city. Residents enjoy a middle to upper-middle class socio-economic level with the majority of adults employed as professionals and business executives. A high percentage of adults in both communities are college graduates. The community has high expectations and aspirations for its schools. SCHOOL: Pascack Valley High School is a four-year college preparatory school with an enrollment of approximately 1300 students. The 2021 graduating class was comprised of 296 students. The school is a member of the National Association of College Admission Counselors and supports the Association’s Code of Ethics & Professional Practices. Pascack Valley High School consistently ranks in the top tier of New Jersey high schools as rated by the New Jersey Monthly Magazine. e-LEARNING: The Pascack Valley Regional High School District was the first district in New Jersey to provide wireless laptops to all students and teachers to be used in classrooms and at home. This initiative, currently in the 17th year, impacts teaching, learning and communications between school and home while creating a community of learners between teachers and students.
