It includes our history and current goals, admissions standards and requirements, tuition and other costs, sources of financial aid, and rules and regulations that govern student life. This catalog also describes our student organizations and other activities on the campus, lists courses and programs by department, and contains the name, rank, and educational background of each full‑ time faculty member. UNC Pembroke is one of sixteen universities in North Carolina that comprise The University of North Carolina. UNCP has a thirteen‑member Board of Trustees and, like the other institutions of The University of North Carolina, is subject to the governing regulations of The Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina. UNC Pembroke supports the protections available to members of its community under all applicable Federal laws, including Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Sections 799A and 845 of the Public Health Service Act, the Equal Pay and Age Discrimination Acts, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Executive Order 11246.
