Cecchetti Intensive Intensive: August 2-5, 2021 Intensive Content Dance Gallery strongly believes in training dancers to be technically proficient. An important aspect of the training we ofer is giving students the opportunity to participate in intensives and workshops where they are able to spend a significant amount of time focusing on the Cecchetti method. Intensive Details Schedule At A Glance For Cecchetti Grade I-Advanced Students: We will be ofering Cecchetti syllabus work for Grade I-Intermediate Grade VI. Classes begin Monday at approximately 9:00 AM and will run through Wednesday; each day will end at approximately 5:00 PM and Thursday until approximately 12:00 PM. Students will have a lunch break each day, students are strongly encouraged to leave the studio for lunch. However we do realize this is not possible for all students. So students will be allowed to bring a sack lunch to eat at the studio. If they leave the studio it must be with their parent, chaperone, or teacher. Students will also be exposed to alternative styles of dance, such as contemporary, modern, jazz, conditioning, pre pointe, social dance, etc. Students will need to provide their own filled water bottle. A detailed schedule will be released at a later date. Dress Code Boys Ballet Attire Boys are required to wear black tights with a dance belt, a white or black fitted t-shirt, and black or white ballet shoes. Girls Ballet Attire Girls are required to wear pink foot or convertible ballet tights, a solid black leotard, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a proper ballet bun. Alternative Classes Tennis shoes will be needed for the conditioning/cross training classes. Students are also allowed to wear warm ups, bootie shorts, or jazz pants. Student Supervision Dance Gallery of SD is not responsible for providing supervision to younger students. Younger students who attend the intensive when not in class are to remain supervised by their parent, chaperone, or teacher.
