Journal of Medical Arthropodology An annual open access journal (Dec. 1) & official organ of the Society of Medical Arthropodology (S.O.M.A.) Subject: Request to submit your valuable manuscripts to the Journal of Medical Arthropodology Dear Medico-arthropodologists, We are pleased to inform that the Society of Medical Arthropodology (SOMA) will be bringing out the inaugural issue of its mainstream periodical Journal of Medical Arthropodology on December 1, 2020. This will be an ISSN number bearing open access journal, to be published annually. It is general policy that all manuscripts are critically peer- reviewed. For details please see the journal’s opening pages of ‘Editorial Board’ and ‘Suggestions to Authors’ attached herewith. The science of medical arthropodology (including fascinating disciplines like medical entomology, medical acarology, medical myriapodology and medical carcinology), is the study of the parasitic effect of arthropods, not only as parasites but also as vectors, pest and source of envenomation, allergy and psychological infirmity. Presently, it has evolved into an incredibly exciting discipline which constitutes an integral part of public health, biomedicine, pharmacology and bioengineering, not to mention in least its importance in substituting protein and minerals in human food and animal feed. The grandness of the science of medical arthropodology has probably been never so deeply appreciated as done now in the form of launching the Journal of Medical Arthropodology. A journal always belong to its authors, and a good journal is but a reflection of the quality manuscripts published in there. Therefore, we request all the medical arthropodologists, human vector-borne disease scientists, public health researchers and all those having interest in any allied science involving arthropods as their object, to kindly submit their manuscripts to the Journal of Medical Arthropodology. The last date for receiving a manuscript is September 30, 2020. Looking forward to hearing from you before very long, we remain, with kindest regards, Yours very sincerely, Prof. Dr B.K. Tyagi Dr Rina Tilak Editor in-Chief, JoMA Executive Editor, JoMA Dated the 5th May, 2020 .
