The Loons’ only run came on a solo homer by Leonel Valera in the eighth. After a solo home run from Lavastida in the second the Captains poured on three runs East Division W L GB in the sixth. Raynel Delgado thumped a two-run double and scored on a Quentin Holmes single to put the Captains up 4-0. In the seventh Brayan Rocchio drove home Will Brennan with a double. Lavastida hit his Dayton (Cincinnati) 26 18 -- second home run in the top of the eighth, and a Joe Donovan double plated Austen Wade in the ninth to put the Captains up 7-1. Allen spun six shutout innings to earn the win and improve to 4-0.
