This is a permanent post. The Lakes School is a high achieving fully comprehensive, dynamic and innovative school at the heart of the Lake District and we make full use of our stunning location. All our students have the opportunity to achieve within a caring learning community. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic English teacher to join our department from September 2015. We need a teacher with excellent skills, commitment, resilience and energy to support and challenge our pupils so that they enjoy their learning and reach their full potential. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the ability and age range, including ‘A’ level English Language, and will join experienced colleagues in a strong and aspirational department. Student outcomes in English are strong, and performance at ‘A’ Level English Language is particularly successful, with results frequently reaching above the National Average. The post would be suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher. The Lakes School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
