SEPTEMBER 2019 Westchester County Business Journal • ARTSNEWS A13 NEWS BRIEF CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR ARTIST HOUSING IN NEW ROCHELLE The City of New Rochelle recently launched an artist certification program that aims to connect artists with new live/work housing opportunities in its downtown arts & cultural district. Certified artists will be given preference for these opportunities, often at more affordable rates. To encourage this initiative, the City’s Industrial Development Agency provides incentives to new development projects that incorporate live/work spaces for artists. To apply, individuals must complete an application and provide required documents.
