Malcolm Mcgonigle

MALCOLM MCGONIGLE Malcolm McGonigle is a talented Scottish writer who most recently worked as Staff Writer on the Golden Globe winning Series 4 of THE CROWN for Left Bank Pictures and Netflix. He has previously written on the second series of the Scottish BAFTA winning children’s comedy panel show THE DOG ATE MY HOMEWORK for CBBC, and written on multiple series CBBC’s MI HIGH for Kudos. He participated in the Kudos Film and Television & Bush Theatre development initiative and is a former finalist of the Red Planet Prize, and was also shortlisted for the BBC Writer’s Academy. He has had an original comedy idea under option to BBC Comedy and has had original drama series developed by BBC Scotland Drama and Island Pictures. He recently completed a development deal for new comedy ideas with Avalon Television and his original comedy drama UNSINKABLE is currently under option to DLT Entertainment. Malcolm has also written for radio, contributing to comedy shows including SWOTS and ELLIS AND CLARKE for BBC Radio Scotland, with whom he has had an original comedy sitcom in development. Previously a freelance journalist, Malcolm’s work has been published in The List, The Skinny, The Larder, Artmag and The Big Issue. His novel LIFE OVERHAUL is currently available on Amazon.
