The latest 7 day statistics up to the 7th of June 2021 show 132* positive cases (01 June 2021 to 07 June 2021) which is a rate of 121.5 per 100,000 population, with a 7 day positive rate of 4.0%. This shows an increase from 4 weeks ago (01 May to 07 May 2021), when the 7 day positive cases was 23, which was a rate of 21.2 per 100,000 population, with a 7 day positivity rate of 0.9%. We must remain vigilant and follow the FACTS guidance, though social distancing, good hand and respiratory hygiene and by using appropriate face coverings and by adhering to current protection level 2 guidance. Please continue to follow Scottish Government and NHS advice. *Public Health Scotland (10/06/2021) COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Current Protection Levels Currently the most of Scotland is at protection level 2, at present you can travel into Glasgow. Stick to the rules in your area - Scotland follows a COVID-19 levels system (0-4). Each Level has a different set of rules on what you can and cannot do. What can you currently do in level 2? East Dunbartonshire Community (Asymptomatic) Covid-19 Testing Centre (Memorial Hall, Bishopbriggs) A community asymptomatic testing is available in East Dunbartonshire for all those in the area who do not have symptoms. No booking is required, just walk in. Please do not visit if you have COVID-19 symptoms. The asymptomatic testing centre moved from Auchinairn to the War Memorial Hall in Bishopbriggs as of Monday 7 June and is open 10.30am-6pm, with the last test at 5.30pm. This is a testing centre for East Dunbartonshire residents who have NO symptoms of Covid-19, who could be infectious and spreading the virus without knowing it. The centre is open Mon to Fri 10.30qm to 6pm. It's not for asymptomatic testing - PCR tests must be booked in advance at www.nhsinform.scot/test-and-protect or by calling 119. People should only book a test if they have coronavirus symptoms (a high temperature, a new and continuous cough or a loss or change to their sense of smell or taste) or have been instructed to do so by a clinician or NHS contact tracer.
