ISDB-T Seminar7 Impementation

ISDB-T technical seminar(2007) Preface in Brazil As described in forward section, to make up digital broadcasting system, broadcaster should consider and investigate the many Section 7 theme for designing and constructing digital broadcasting Implementation of Broadcaster infrastructure. Theme of this section are as follows: June, 2007 (1)Broadcaster system design and examples; Digital Broadcasting Expert Group (DiBEG) (2) Transmission network of DTTB Japan (3)Transmission network design for digital broadcasting Yasuo TAKAHASHI (4)New technologies for transmission network (Toshiba) (5)Examples of Transmitter and repeater In this section, Japanese case is explained 1 2 DiBEG DiBEG Digital Broadcasting Experts Group Digital Broadcasting Experts Group Contents 1.Infrastructure of Broadcaster 1. Sw’er size SI Server TS format Sub Video/Audio signal quality/ number of program; HD? or Multi channel Studio No. of ENC SD? or Mixture ? Number of Encoder, Switcher’ type/size, etc Broadcast TS ENC type, etc format (note 2) Hierarchical Transmission service; Put One-seg service or not? Same VTR/ program or not? Number/type of encoder, Switcher design, etc Server M Matrix Video/Audio Middle ware Service; What kinds of data casting? Program related Sw’er Encoder U data casting, independent data casting , both or any of one, or. Program to MOD Design of master data/control system, Authoring system, etc Network X Data casting Interactive Service; What kinds of Interactive Service? Broadcaster OB System itself? or collaborate with communication carrier? VAN Business model design, Interactive system design, etc. Signal format (note 1) TS format Most urgent and important themes are, (note 1) Signal format of input/output of Sw’er depends on signal source, signal flow design ,and master control system design If HD is main signal, digital format may be better. Example of Master system(Japan) is also shown. (note 2) Transmission rate of Broadcast TS is constant rate, 9 in spite of different service 10 DiBEG DiBEG Digital Broadcasting Experts Group Digital Broadcasting Experts Group Example of Control/ data flow of Digital Master Program information DS DS: Data server APC:Automatic program system control Example of Master system( Japan) Stream Because of the difference TV broadcasting contents, operation APC Controller system culture, etc .
