As we paused to reflect on what contributes to our success, several constants emerged: our students, our faculty, our alumni, our donors and our community. Within each of these groups are the moments and memories that have become our story, our legacy. Your Muskingum story may be about a lasting relationship, the launching of a career, a faculty mentor or a quiet place on campus where you sought solace. Your memories, both old and new, contribute to our legacy. Your generosity and support have inspired us to do more, be more and reach more. Every day we renew our commitment to meet the growing needs of students and our community and strive for excellence. This past year we had two accreditation teams on campus for our new majors – Nursing and Engineering Science – and I am proud to announce that both received accreditation! Our campus reflects our academic growth as we continue work on the campus master plan. This year is one of preparation for the construction of the Louis Palmer Art Gallery and fundraising for the future Library renovation and expansion. We may add majors and build buildings; however, we know that the heart of Muskingum beats inside our alumni, donors, staff and students. The memories that you pass on to your children, grandchildren, family members, friends and neighbors are the cornerstone in the foundation of our legacy. Each day, we build on it as we carry out our mission to enrich the lives of students intellectually, spiritually, socially and physically.
