After the release of Soul Maps: 7, the K-pop group is already planning its next project. We have little bits of information about this before, but in a recent YouTube Live session, Jean accidentally revealed the release date of her next album. We could just be a month of release courtesy of Jean! Socially distanced BTS members had many live sessions amid the pandemic, but the latter saw the entire group including RM, Jin, V, Suga, Jungkook, Jimin and J-Hope gather to talk about everything they had before. The conversation that took place on Monday (May 11) revolved around the theme of their upcoming album and how much they miss performing live for their audience since their tour was postponed indefinitely. Between this brainstorming, Jin casually asked: Our album is released in October, right? Check out the full YouTube live session here, skip until 4:15 p.m. for a juicy bit: Yup, you've seen what you've seen! A little later, V talked about taking over as a visual project manager. So the album seems to be coming together, well. BTS has been a very busy boy band. They broadcast their past concerts for free on YouTube to fans who didn't get to watch them on stage, they broke Psy's longtime record with their SONG DNA and announced their series Break the Silence: Docu-Series set for release on WeVerse on May 12, 2020. Billboard has just dropped their World Albums charts, and it has some unsurprising and surprising winners on it. As the endless rise of K-pop continues, fans are slowly shifting focus from one band they stan to other idol groups that are equally good. While BTS continues to dominate the list of favorites, the Billboard list sings its own tune and for the first time in a very long time, we are witnessing the takeover of a group of newcomers. The list has all the best K-pop tracks of the week and it has us creating an all-new playlist. Here's all the trends in the K-pop field: SuperM's 1st EP - I can't stand the rain of SuperM just having their debut, and they just zip past idol bands with loyal fandoms to claim the No.1 album spot (rated above BTS). Rookie bands have fresh beats and vibrations going on for them and, frankly, their music backs up their claims. Their album has been in first place for three whole weeks, and this track will single-handedly make you a believer. BTS Map of the Soul: Persona - The Boy with Luv This BTS album is open to fans who will team up to make it the most trending theme in a few weeks, no, months in the future. 'Map of the Soul: Persona' (going down to No 2 spot) had some kickass collaboration too and one particular track became a permanent addition to the music charts. The boy with Luv has broken enough records to date, and his popularity is not dying anytime soon. This one is probably still on your playlist and that's where it belongs. TXT's Dream Chapter: MAGIC - Three quarters call BTS 'little' little TXT made their crushing comeback with an album that is all kinds of MAGIC. While overall he's a killer tracklist, you just have to recognize the ambitious crossover that '9 Three Quarters (Run Away). Yes, it's a Harry Potter link right there and it will have all the muggles to believe. The album claims to be number three on the chart. SEE ALSO: TXT's Comeback Album has BTS Reference And It's 'Magic' To Fans DAY 6's The Book of Us: Entropy - Sweet Chaos This album may be no 10th place, but that doesn't mean it's not hypable, not far away. Day 6 makes all kinds of waves with the title track of the album 'Sweet Chaos'. It gives you My Chemical Romance vibes with trippy visuals to go with. WINNER'S CROSS - SOSO Ranking at No.12, Idol band WINNER literally winning with the coolest album of the week. Check out SOSO and you'll know what I mean. Did I mention this is their first week on the chart? Red Velvet's The ReVe Festival: Day 2 - Umpah Umpah's seventh EP group of girls idols is so fun, we're surprised that its rating has dropped below 10. Coming at No 13, Festival Reve: Day 2 still keeps its head in the running for best albums on the World Albums chart. Their tracks are so danceable that it's hard not to jam them even a few weeks after their release. Check out Umpah Umpah to get what we mean. Billboard said then, there's a mix of returning favorites and a new fire catch on in K-pop. It's time to take away the spot for rookie streaks that turned out to be the wrong rookie. What is the meaning of the name? Turns out we're all clowns and the album isn't called Map of the Soul: Shadow Map of the soul: Ego. However, this name seems even more appropriate than Shadow or Ego. For every awards show this season, BTS has focused on its past eras. At the 2019 Melon Music Awards, BTS foreshadowed that The Map of the Soul: 7 will return to the ERA of HYYH. Before the performance of the song Dionysus each BTS member received a solo dance number demonstrating their individual styles.
