Grady Clay papers, 1934-1987 Manuscript Collection No. 697 Collection Description Biographical Note Grady Edward Clay, Jr., graduate of Emory University, is a journalist and educator. He has written for the Louisville Courier-Journal, edited Landscape Architecture magazine, and lectured in journalism at Northwestern University. Scope and Content Note The collection consists of the papers of Grady Clay from 1934-1987, including clippings, printed materials, photographs, and a family history. Clippings, printed materials, and photographs date from Clay's student days at Emory University (1934-1938), and include information about campus and student activities and about the Dare Stones. A history of the Roberts-Solomon family of the Macon, Georgia, area was written by Clay for a family reunion in 1987.
