Morgan Evans & Co Ltd Gaerwen Auction Centre Prize Sale of Store Cattle & OTM’s Tuesday 12th March, 2019 Messrs Morgan Evans & Co report an entry of 290 Store Cattle and 28 OTM’s selling to a buoyant trade. Excellent show of cattle with an abundance of local and distance buyers present attempting to secure cattle. The top price of the day went to a Limousin steer from C Jones, Cae Isaf, Porthaethwy for £1290 with Arfon Jones Esq purchasing the 22 month old beast. Not far behind at £1280 was Mr J G Hughes, Blaen Y Coed, Bodffordd who saw 10 of his steers entered for the sale averaging £1221. Also amongst the highest prices was I M Williams, Tyddyn Bach, Bangor who saw seven of his cattle achieving a strong trade topping at £1275. The top price in the heifer section went to R A Elias, Hendre Cennin, Garndolbenmaen with a 20 month old Charolais achieving £1235.
