After his team won the Horizon League, Jacksonville 2-0 he was named the NABC District 10 Coach of the Year which covers Ohio and James Madison 8-0 Indiana. From day one, his focus has been on the student-athletes. LSU 0-1 During Brownell’s tenure as head coach, the UNCW men’s basketball Loyola 2-0 program enjoyed an unprecedented era of success. The Evansville, IN native Marist 1-0 brings a four-year head coaching record of 83-40 to the Raiders along with two Marshall 2-1 NCAA Tournament berths. UNCW posted a 25-8 mark last season and won Maryland 0-1 Miami (OH) 1-0 the CAA Tournament, beating Final Four participant George Mason University. Mississippi Valley State 1-0 The Seahawks lost in overtime to George Washington University 88-85. His North Carolina State 0-1 four-year Colonial Conference record was 61-22 which was the best during the North Texas 1-1 period. Brownell was twice named the CAA Coach of the Year (2003 and 2006) Northeastern 2-0 and twice the collegeinsider.com Coach of the Year.
